Precision Capacitive Sensors and Temperature Sensors

spindle error analyzer hardwareElite Series capacitive sensors measure motion of master ball targets. The system includes a connector for National Instruments Data Acquisition Equipment.

The Elite Series TMP190 Temperature Sensor Module monitors machine temperature at up to seven points. It is computer controlled by the SEA Software through the DAQ connector on the rear of the enclosure.

USB Data Acquisition interface: No hardware installation necessary

SEA 8 features the National Instruments USB-621 Data Acquisition system eliminating the time-consuming installation of PCMCIA or PCI data acquisition hardware.

Using the new Elite Series System Plug&Play technology, SEA Version 8 reads all calibration information from the system, assuring accurate calibration data and relieving the operator of entering the data.

Probe Mounts

Precision probe holders are designed to maintain perfect perpendicularity required for accurate measurement of high-resolution error motion. Also available are more generic adjustable probe holders for single channel measurements.

X, Y, and Z axes measurements with a three channel system.
2X, 2Y, and Z measurements for tilt and error motion with 5 channel systems. Fits in lathe tool holder and holds a standard three probe nest.

For mounting probes where standard probe nests can not be used.

Master Ball Targets

Master targets are manufactured to exacting standards. Our master ball targets boast a roundness spec of better than 50nm (2µinch).
The targets feature adjustable eccentricity to induce a fixed runout when necessary for testing. The dual master ball is required for five channel systems.
A precision 1 inch gage pin is also available.

One precision ball for three channel systems. Adjustable eccentricity.
