Probe model numbers are specified by their diameter and body style: i.e. a U8C probe has an 8mm diameter and a "C" body style.

Probes can be ordered as vacuum compatible.

Probe diameter determines the range.
Larger Diameter = Larger Range

Ranges for Standard Probe Diameters

The Range and Near Gap are directly proportional to the diameter of the probe: larger probes have larger Ranges and Near Gaps.

Probes are identified by their diameter - i.e. a U5 probe has a 5mm diameter etc.

Custom ranges are available.

Mounting Clearances

To prevent mounting hardware or other metallic objects from interfering in precision measurements, eddy-current sensor probes must be mounted with the following clearances based on probe diameter X.
