Eddy-Current Sensors
ECD140 & ECD140e Eddy-Current Sensor for CompactRIO:
Probes and Ranges
Probe model numbers are specified by their diameter and body style: i.e. a U8C probe has an 8mm diameter and a "C" body style.
Probe diameter determines the range.
Larger Diameter = Larger Range
See the probe page for mechanical details, important mounting clearances, and temperature limits.
Probes can be ordered as vacuum compatible.
Ranges and resolution
Specifications assume a target at least 3 times the diameter of the probe.
A specific range and resolution will require a particular probe size/model. Range/Resolution may also be affected by the target material.
Custom ranges are also available.
Listed specifications are for standard target materials.
